National Reconciliation Week and Sorry Day
NRW commenced Friday 27th May and finishes on June 3rd. During this week we acknowledge 2 significant miles stones in our First Nations Peoples history; The 1967 Referendum and Mabo Day. Students from PP-Y6 completed a hand and wrote words associated with reconciliation. PP made their mark by placing their hand print on the cut out.
Thursday 26th May was National Sorry Day. Each student from year 1-6 participated in colouring and making purple flowers that represent the native hibiscus. These flowers are used to symbolise Sorry Day. The students helped out by finishing off previous class work before starting more. It was a collaborative effort from everyone.
